Mr Mervyn Greene Chairman & Non-Executive Director |
Mr Greene is an investment banker and entrepreneur who has worked in the US, Europe and Africa for more than 20 years. Between 1997 and 2005 Mr Greene was the London based partner of Irwin Jacobs Greene (IJG), one of Namibia's premier stockbroking, private equity and corporate finance advisory firms. As part of its business IJG was involved in a number of capital raisings for Namibian State enterprises.
Mr Greene has had broad experience in a range of corporate transactions both in Namibia and abroad and is involved in a non-executive capacity in a number of public and private businesses in Ireland and the UK. In the early stages of his career, before doing an MBA in the London Business School in 1992, Mr Greene worked for Morgan Stanley in New York and London.
Mr Greene was appointed to the Deep Yellow Board in November 2006 and became Chairman in August 2007.

Greg has over 25 years' experience in international mining in commodities including gold, coal, base metals and uranium. He has held senior positions in various functions including projects, operations, finance and business development. Most recently he was CEO of Terramin Australia Limited and prior to that he was Executive Vice President: Australia & Asia for TSX listed Uranium One.
At Uranium One he led the establishment of a strong corporate and project team in South Australia, guided the Honeymoon mine through its permitting process and successfully established the Mitsui Uranium One Australia Joint Venture. In Asia he led the due diligence on Uranium One's C$3.8 billion acquisition of UrAsia Ltd in 2007, was responsible for UrAsia's integration into Uranium One and managed the company's Kazakh joint venture interests.
Greg also worked for Mitsubishi Development whilst the earlier part of his career was spent with BHP Billiton and its predecessor companies in the Billiton stable.
Greg is a professional engineer and holds a MSc. in Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK. He also holds South African mine manager's certificates of competency for metalliferous and coal mines. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.
Mr Cochran joined the Deep Yellow Board in January 2011.

Mr Kavanagh is a geologist with 40 years extensive experience acquired through fieldwork, research and management of Australia-wide and offshore programmes. He has worked widely within the exploration and mining industry in Australia and offshore in Indonesia, North America, the Southwest Pacific region and southern Africa. He also has 15 years corporate experience as a director of ASX listed companies.
Martin is a graduate of London University (BSc Honours Geology) arriving in Australia in 1970. He worked for International Nickel in Kalgoorlie for 7 years before joining Anaconda Australia Inc in 1977 working initially as a nickel geologist before moving into gold. During that time he also worked as an underground mine geologist at the Mt Edwards and Red Ross nickel mines at Widgiemooltha and at the Carr Fork copper-lead-zinc mine in Utah.
In 1985 US Oil Company Atlantic Richfield the owner of Anaconda Copper decided to sell Anaconda with exploration assets being offered to employees. Martin together with four remaining Anaconda Australia geologists including Peter Walker and Bill Turner bought 'Anaconda Australia' and ultimately merged the assets with Dominion Oil and Gas to form Dominion Mining Ltd. Over a five year period Dominion was built up to become Australia's third largest gold producer peaking at 430,000 ozs annual production in 1993. Martin was General Manager Exploration for Dominion. His roles also included Project Manager mine development, Operations Manager and Chief Mine Geologist. Martin left Dominion in 1994 setting up a consulting business which led to him joining Tanami Gold NL as Exploration Director in 1995 with a focus on the WA-NT Tanami-Arunta Province. Over a 10 year period Tanami became a pre-eminent Junior Explorer in the Province acquiring extensive tenement holdings ultimately leading to Tanami's acquisition of the Coyote Gold Deposit. Martin also had the responsibility of marketing the 'uranium potential' of Tanami's Northern Territory tenements which resulted in a deal with Deep Yellow being signed. Martin joined the Deep Yellow board in October 2005.
As Executive Director of Deep Yellow Martin's principal role has been to head up Australian operations and to provide technical support for the Namibian operations as required. Prior to joining Deep Yellow Martin's uranium experience was gained through project work for International Nickel in the 1970's and Anaconda and Dominion in the 1980's.
Mr Kavanagh joined the Deep Yellow Board in October 2005.

Ms Swaby has been involved in financial and corporate administration, as both Director and Company Secretary covering a broad range of industry sectors for over 25 years. Ms Swaby has extensive experience in the area of secretarial practice, management accounting and corporate and financial management and sits on a number of advisory committees. Ms Swaby is currently the Company Secretary of Paladin Resources Ltd and was a member of the Paladin Board for a period of 9 years. Ms Swaby is the principal of a corporate consulting company and past Chair of the Western Australia Council of Chartered Secretaries of Australia and a former Director on their National Board.
Ms Swaby joined the Deep Yellow Board in October 2005.

Mr Brunovs is a former audit partner of the International Chartered Accounting firm Ernst & Young and practiced in a number of offices in Australia and overseas. For a total period of twelve years he held the position of Managing Partner of the Parramatta NSW and subsequently the Perth office of the firm. He was a member of the Minerals and Energy Division with Ernst & Young.
Mr Brunovs was appointed to the Deep Yellow Board in August 2007.

Mr Pitts is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty years experience in statutory reporting and business administration. He has been directly involved with, and consulted to a number of public companies holding senior financial management positions.
Mr Pitts is a Partner in the advisory firm Endeavour Corporate (Endeavour). Endeavour offers professional services focused on Company Secretarial support; corporate advice; supervision of ASIC and ASX reporting and compliance requirements; and commercial and financial support. Endeavour acts for a number of ASX listed and unlisted Public Companies including Deep Yellow Limited.
