Founder Group, one of China's largest technology corporations, today announced the official establishment of EC-Founder, a new e-commerce enabler aimed at accelerating the development of e-business in China. Unveiled at a press conference today in Beijing, EC-Founder forms part of the Founder Group's aggressive Internet business strategy designed to significantly expand its Internet operations in the PRC and follows the launch of "E-Media" strategy by Beijing Founder Electronics in July.
As an industry leader in China, Founder will leverage its unique advantages in technological development over the last ten years to introduce effective localized e-commerce applications and solutions, and drive the development of e-commerce in China.

Employing nearly 200 staff, the new corporation will expand its presence in e-business technology particularly in the research and development of application products; media e-business focusing on the provision of information exchange platforms; integrated sales service concentrating on online sales and marketing in cooperation with Yahoo!; and spatial information application based on GIS technology.
EC-Founder has already successfully developed several large scale e-business projects including the establishment of www.mrbuy.com.cn, a popular e-commerce portal in China; www.beijing-2008.org, the official website of Beijing 2000 Olympic Application Commission; www.cs-online.com.cn, a popular China Sports Online; and www.jubonet.com, still under development this will be the largest jewellery procurement website in Asia. EC-Founder is also committed to rolling out new Internet technology related services including a comprehensive Internet security product tailor-made for the local websites.
To further develop its businesses in China, EC-Founder will expand partnerships with numerous corporations, including Yahoo!, Sunevision, Nokia, Broadvision, Oracle, SUN, IBM, Microsoft, JetForm and 3Fusion.
