Rosh ha'ayin, israel July 26th, 2001 - Partner Communications Company Ltd. (nasdaq: ptnr, LSE: PCCD, TASE: PTNR), the Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, mobile telephone network operator in Israel, today announced a decision to implement organizational changes.
In order to optimize the transition from 2G services to advanced 2.5G and 3G services, Partner will form a new division for 3G services, headed by a vice president. Amikam Cohen, Partner's CEO, said today he intends to appoint Mr. Yacov Kedmi to this position.
In addition, Partner will combine its sales and marketing divisions into one division. Mr. Cohen said he intends to appoint Mr. Effie Rosenhause to head the combined division.
The appointments are subject to approval by the governing bodies of the Company.
"This change", said Mr. Cohen, " will contribute towards optimizing our workflow and introducing advanced services, further enhancing our future data, information, entertainment, and m-commerce revenues, as we enter a new and exciting era of multi-media content rich provisioning."
