H3G and divine sign a contract for the acquisition and delivery
of content for 3G

Milan, 16 May 2002 - divine, provider of solutions for the extended enterprise with particular attention to content management, announces it has signed an agreement with H3G, valid in the other global markets where the Hutchison Whampoa Group holds mobile-telephony ventures for the supply of software and professional services to support the various local initiatives of acquisition and delivery of content. The deal provides for the use of divine Content Server Enterprise Edition (dCSEE), a platform for the content management, for the distribution (in real time or in deferred time) of content acquired from local partners.

divine Italia will develop the "CORE" application component, which is a personalized extension of the dCSEE platform that will be distributed to all the Hutchison subsidiaries and will represent the base on which every local structure will construct its own environment for the management and delivery of content. The dCSEE platform showed to be particularly suited to the project for its architecture. DCSEE in fact enables the coverage of the complete cycle of the treatment of content: from the acquisition phase to that of delivery, through a management process that is defined by H3G and the other subsidiaries of the group that have underwritten the agreement.

"The agreement with divine is another step in our strategy to carry out high-quality infrastructures and technological platforms. Joined with the exclusive content we have acquired, it will let is present a winning offer to the market," said Bob Fuller, H3G CEO.

"The choice to assign to divine one of the most important roles in the delivery of content services, an absolutely critical component in the offer of a 3G operator, rewards the commitment and the dedication that divine has put during the selection phase," said Marco Cantella, Managing Director of Divine Italia. The presence of divine in the countries involved in the project and the availability of qualified resources supporting local productions represent the real added value."
