Cristobal Cruise Terminal-Pier 6 sets a historical milestone
receiving three cruise vessel calls simultaneously

[Panama - February 5, 2003] Panama Ports Company, S.A. (PPC) announced that for the first time ever, three cruise vessels simultaneously called at its Cruise Terminal - Pier 6, with a total of 5,590 passengers and crew. This historical milestone took place on the 19th January 2003, when "Sun Bird" from Sun Cruises, "Radisson Diamond" from Radisson Seven Seas and "Coral Princess" from Princess Cruises, called at Pier 6.

Pier 6 is ideally located at the Caribbean entrance of the Panama Canal to serve cruise vessels interested in enjoying the tourist wonders of the Province of Colon when cruising in the Caribbean or after transiting the Canal. Pier 6 provides an ideal opportunity for those passengers looking forward to the enjoyment of a shore excursion.

Commenting on this event Mr. Alejandro Kouruklis, General Manager of PPC, said:

"We are very delighted to witness this historical moment for the Port of Cristobal. It is a great pleasure to welcome the cruise vessels "Sun Bird", "Coral Princess", and "Radisson Diamond" at Pier 6. With such a large number of passengers and crew this is a significant benefit to the province of Colon, and its people. We also want to thank all Cruise Lines for making this Cruise Season (2002-2003) a successful one for Panama Ports Company, S.A., as well as for the Republic of Panama."
