Hutch to unveil its three-tier marketing approach
with the most advanced products & services
for the second half of 2003 at ICT Expo 2003

Bangkok - August 01, 2003: Hutch today announced it will unveil the three-tier marketing approach that the company will implement for the second half of 2003 at its exciting, high-tech booth at ICT Expo 2003. The three tiers are Hutch Real, offering a range of innovative wireless multimedia services; Hutch Play, with a variety of exciting downloadable applications based on the BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) development platform; and SayByHutch, which offers crystal-clear voice with selected data services. With the three tiers, Hutch will greatly expand its range of innovative CDMA products and services to address all customer categories.

"The ICT Expo is a great opportunity to showcase the wide range of feature-rich multimedia applications and outstanding voice services Hutch offers under our three-tier marketing approach," said Mr Stephen Sun, President & CEO of Hutchison CAT Wireless MultiMedia Limited, marketing service provider for the CDMA2000 1X network. "At our booth, we will have interesting new products with features never before seen in Thailand and exciting applications that will raise the user experience to a new level. We invite everybody to visit our booth and see for themselves how Hutch's revolutionary multimedia service can enhance their lives."

Key highlights of the technologies featured at the Hutch booth include a demonstration of Location Based Services (LBS), the first for the Thai market based on A-GPS, the world's latest and most advanced technology for location-based services. The Hutch LBS not only lets users know exactly where they are but also tells them what services and people are nearby. Visitors to the Hutch booth will have a chance to see a LBS demonstration and experience for themselves its high level of accuracy of within 10 meters.

The powerful data-handling capability of Hutch's CDMA2000 1X service will be showcased through demonstrations of video streaming applications delivered directly to a Hutch multimedia terminal as well as video clips that users can download and play back at any time.

Hutch will also preview great new games based on Qualcomm's BREW platform. BREW is specially designed for developing and deploying data services on wireless devices. With BREW, Hutch will be able to quickly develop quick-downloading applications that provide a whole new dimension of user enjoyment with their higher performance, richer features and colours.

Several models of CDMA multimedia terminals will be on display, including three new multimedia terminals for the Hutch Real and Hutch Play market tiers. Hutch will introduce the Telson TDC-6610 multimedia terminal, the first A-GPS terminal in Thailand, and the new Horizon multimedia terminal. Both terminals offer many features including video streaming, video download & playback capability, the most advanced 260 k colour display screens and karaoke support. Visitors will also be able to try out Hutch ICE, a state-of-the-art, dual mode CDMA2000 1X and EV-DO wireless PDA multimedia terminal with a powerful CPU, large LCD screen, integrated voice, SMS and data services, and video streaming.

At the booth, visitors will discover how Hutch's high-speed CDMA2000 1X wireless communications service delivers the most powerful, colorful and easy-to-use interactive applications available to mobile communications users in Thailand. They can try out more than 50 engaging multimedia applications currently available from Hutch such as information, entertainment, games and personal services. They can have fun with Hutch's recently launched karaoke service and preview business applications the company is currently developing. Visitors can also sign up for Hutch's service on the second floor of the booth, where they can take advantage of the company's most recent promotions.

Overall, the Hutch booth at ICT Expo will offer visitors an excellent opportunity to see and experience how Hutch can greatly enhance their lifestyles with three tiers of products & services that meet their communications, information and entertainment needs. The ICT Expo 2003 takes place at the Sky Hall, Bangkok Convention Center, Central Lad Prao from August 02 to 04, 2003.
