Peder Ramel is the new CEO for 3 Scandinavia from March 1st 2007

Present managing director for 3 Sweden Peder Ramel is appointed CEO of 3 Scandinavia as of March 1st 2007. He replaces Shlomo Liran who will take a new position as vice chairman of the board with responsibilities for regulatory affairs and business development.

Shlomo Liran has done an admirable job during the three years he has headed 3 Scandinavia. He has established a strong, growing enterprise and made 3 a significant player in the Scandinavian telecom market, going from 20,000 subscribers to almost 700,000 subscribers, says Marcus Wallenberg, chairman of 3 Scandinavia.

I am also very pleased that Peder Ramel who has been with us for a less than a year has accepted to lead the organisation as we enter a new phase of the operations, says Marcus Wallenberg.

Peder has filled the CEO-suit in Sweden very fast. I feel safe and secure handing over to him. I will continue to support 3 in regulatory affairs and business development as well as taking on other project assignments within the Hutchison group, says Shlomo Liran.

Our latest launch of the 3-wide X-series services marks new milestone in Sweden and Denmark. We will show the way to mobile internet in its true sense with partners like Skype, Google, MSN and other important players. It will be great fun to lead this development in all Scandinavian markets, says Peder Ramel.
