To give details of other subsidiaries would, in the opinion of the directors of the Company, result in particulars of excessive length. None of the subsidiaries had any loan capital and issued any debt securities subsisting at the end of the year or at any time during the year (2017: same). 14 Dividends No interim or final dividend was paid or proposed for the years ended 31 December 2017 and 2018, nor has any dividend been proposed since the end of the reporting period. 15 Loss per share (a) Basic Basic loss per share is calculated by dividing the loss for the year attributable to the owners of the Company by the weighted average number of ordinary shares in issue during the year.
