OneResource Group to Offer
Hong Kong Companies Significant Savings
Using Web-Based Procurement System

Hong Kong, August 1, 2000 -- OneResource Group (ORG), a Dairy Farm joint venture, will launch a web-based procurement service in September. This service is built upon the non-trade sourcing work OneResource Group has been providing to the Dairy Farm Group for more than a year. The expansion of this service will enable Hong Kong corporate buyers to purchase operating supplies and services at negotiated prices while maintaining high quality standards.

OneResource will link buyers and suppliers with an on-line supplier directory and catalog. The catalog will be continuously updated as new offers are negotiated. MRO.com, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based PSDI is supplying the core software.

"The shared services concept has enabled the Dairy Farm Group to achieve significant savings in the non-trade procurement area by leveraging the Group's buying power", said Howard Mowlem, ORG chief executive. "Corporate buyers will realize significant savings by trading on these prices. We will also spec, source and negotiate prices as additional items are suggested by customers."

Use of a purchasing card is a key element of the service and will streamline the payment process, help reduce staff costs, offer an extended credit period, track monthly expenditures, and minimize unauthorized buying.

Mr. Mowlem said: "ORG analysts estimate that the average cost of processing a paper-based purchase order is about HK$300 when including labor and other over-head costs. Processing a transaction using the OneResource marketplace can reduce this by as much as 80%."

Dairy Farm established OneResource Group (ORG) in February 1999 as a joint venture to provide finance, accounting and non-trade procurement services to Dairy Farm's Hong Kong-based retail business units.
