SEABROOK RETIRES AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF DAIRY FARM
2nd August 1996 -- The Dairy Farm Group today announced that Mr Graeme Seabrook,
Managing Director and Group Chief Executive, is stepping down for personal reasons
to return to Australia and will retire from the Company on 1st September 1996.
Mr Chris Nelson, currently Chief Executive for Asia of Dairy Farm, has become
acting Group Chief Executive pending the recruitment of a new Managing Director.
When the new Managing Director is in place, Mr Nelson will return to Europe as
previously announced.
"Graeme Seabrook has made an important contribution to the Group over the past
eight years. Dairy Farm is now a substantial force in international retailing with
particular strength in the Asia Pacific Region and Mr Seabrook has made a significant
contribution in the regional expansion of Dairy Farm's businesses," said Simon Keswick,
Chairman of the Dairy Farm Group.
Dairy Farm is an international food retailing group with principal supermarket
operations in Asia, Australasia and Europe.
