DAIRY FARM REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF AUSTRALASIA RETIRES Hong Kong, 20 April 1999 - Dairy Farm today announced that, Don Fraser, Regional Director, Australasia, will retire with effect from 1 July 1999. He will continue as a consultant until the end of the year focusing on Woolworths New Zealand. Ian Cornell will become Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Franklins, Australia. Mr. Cornell and Andrew Davidson, Chief Executive Officer, Woolworths, New Zealand will report directly to Dairy Farm Group Chief Executive Ronald Floto who will become Chairman of Woolworths, New Zealand. Mr. Fraser was a consultant to Dairy Farm for two years prior to joining the Group with an initial assignment to Simago (Spain) in August 1994. He was appointed Regional Director, Australasia, in August 1995. "He was key to starting the Franklins turnaround and has been an effective steward for that business during difficult times," said Mr. Floto. Mr. Fraser has been a member of the Dairy Farm Management Services Board and the Group Operating Committee.
