(August 20, 2000 - Hong Kong) - CEC International Holdings Limited ("CEC International" or "the Group"; HKSE: 0759) today announced the approval of the final dividend of HK$0.05 per share for the year ended 30th April, 2000 and the Scrip Dividend Scheme on the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17th August, 2000. The Company has today despatched to eligible shareholders and holders of 2003 Warrants the Scrip Dividend Scheme Circular, together with the form of election.
The eligible shareholders will receive the new shares in accordance with the average closing price of CEC International of the 5 consecutive trading days from 11th to 17th August, 2000.
According to announcements made earlier, shareholders of CEC International in the registered list on 17th August, 2000 would receive bonus share issue made on the basis of 3 bonus shares for every two existing share held. As a result of the bonus share issue, the subscription price payable upon the exercise of the exercise of the subscription rights attaching to the 2003 Warrants has also been adjusted from HK$1.475 per share to HK$0.59 per share with effect from 18th August, 2000.
