(Hong Kong - 30 July 2001) Founder Holdings Limited (HKEx: 418) announces that one of its PRC software development and systems integration subsidiaries, Beijing Founder Electronics Co., Ltd. ("Founder Electronics") has made a breakthrough step on China's digital broadcasting arena. Using MSS (Media Site Solution) Server as the core, Founder Electronics devised a Multi-channel Broadcasting Automation System ("the System") for China's Henan TV Station

Being China's first Multi-channel Broadcasting Automation System with a MSS Server as its core, the System achieved complete self-sufficiency for multi-channel (three-channel, in the case of Henan TV Station) digital broadcasting. Its successful running was demonstrated in great detail at a recent 2001 MPEG Forum, jointly held by Founder Electronics and Henan TV Station, in front of around 100 Chiefs and/or Technical Directors from more than 30 other China TV stations.
Replacing its traditional analog broadcasting system with this newly developed digital broadcasting system, which includes functions such as dual (cassette/hard-disk) storage, cassette backup broadcasting and proxy server, Henan TV Station not only stepped up the reliability of its operation, but also enhanced its productivity through the simplification of the station's operational structure.
As the world's no. 1 software developer and systems integrator in Chinese electronic publishing system, Founder Electronics did not enter China's digital broadcasting arena until 1998. Facing the current trend of media convergence, triggered by the development of Internet and networking technologies, Founder Electronics has been taking advantage of its experience in media-related research and development and has so far developed a series of "Founder" digital media related products and solutions, such as Founder Wuxian (Infinite) Non-linear Editing System
