(Hong Kong - 30 August 2001) Founder Holdings Limited (SEHK: 418) today announced that its PRC media-related software development and systems integration subsidiary, Beijing Founder Electronics Co., Ltd. ("Founder Electronics"), attracted lots of interest from visitors at the yearly Beijing International Radio & Television Exhibition ("the BIRTV Exhibition"), held in Beijing from 23rd to 26th August, 2001. At the BIRTV Exhibition, not only did Founder Electronics pronounce its ambitious goal "to initiate a brand-new digitalized broadcasting era"; but also it demonstrated its across-the-board integrated total solutions for a digitalized television station ("Digitalized TV Station Total Solutions"), based on the concept of media asset management, to cover a TV station's entire digitalized working process, from news production to news editorial, from data reception/transfer to media asset management ("MAM").

Founder Electronics' booth at the BIRTV Exhibition this year was specially designed, imitating the entire working process of a digitalized TV station, including a Production Center, an Editorial Center, a Broadcasting Center and a MAM Center, with each center exhibiting a different product. At the Production Center, there was exhibited Founder Wuxian Non-linear Editing System (). At the Editorial Center, there were demonstrated Founder Tianyi Radio/TV Station News Editorial Management System () and Founder Tianjiao Interactive Audio-Visual (AV) Website Construction System (), which can well integrate to form one comprehensive platform supplying functions such as news editorial, website construction, and AV production and weblishing. At the Broadcasting Center, there was exhibited Founder Hard-disk Sourced Digital Broadcasting System (), which blueprints how a future TV station can be converted into a digitalized networked enterprise. And there was finally the demonstration of a newly-developed Founder Media Asset Management System () at the MAM Center, which aims to maximize value created from full exploitation of existing media assets. Each product above serves as one module for the said "Digitalized TV Station Total Solutions". Through this, Founder Electronics not only points out a clear development direction for all traditional TV stations, but also enables the stations to become digitalized stage-by-stage or department-by-department.

Being one of the largest-scale exhibitions of its kind, the BIRTV Exhibition has been held yearly since 1987. Gaining ever-increasing attention from the Industry each year, the BIRTV Exhibition is now the best platform for systems providers from throughout the world to demonstrate their latest products and technologies. The BIRTV Exhibition highlights of this year include news editorial and programming networks, digital broadcasting, MAM, interactive video site, online broadcasting, as well as broad-band networking.
