In addition, the Group has continued to organize events to share practical tips on sustainable lifestyles with our employees. We held an eco-enzyme cleaners workshop to share the concept of upcycling by using fruit skins to make our own green and harmless detergent. Also, we organized “Mira Collection Point” to collect reusable items from our team members and look for new owners to give the items a second life. This year, The Mira has closely supported Food Made Good (“FMG”) in a range of events to foster sustainable food system in our community. As such, we have designed a sustainable dish for the “One Planet Plate” worldwide restaurant campaign featured “Low Carbon Footprint” and “Source Seafood Sustainably”, and further demonstrated the dish in the FMG Sustainable Living Workshop to inspire our younger generation on the importance of local and sustainable sourcing. We have also put our expertise to good account by sharing our sustainability concept with the industry. For instance, our Culinary Director has promoted sourcing of cage-free eggs in consideration of their nutritional value as well as animal welfare at the FMG Sustainability Breakfast Series. Last but not least, The Mira has also sponsored our venues to support FMG holding its Sustainability Breakfast Series and FMG Award Ceremony. Besides the collaboration with FMG, The Mira through our master chef have also supported Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre’s media cocktail event to promote the use of organic food with specially designed dishes made of organic ingredients for the event. 046 Environmental, Social and Governance Report Annual Report 2021 Miramar Hotel and Investment Company, Limited
