061 Corporate Governance Report Miramar Hotel and Investment Company, Limited Annual Report 2021 Accountability and Audit The Directors are responsible for overseeing the preparation of the annual financial statements which give a true and fair view of the Group’s state of affairs and of the results and cash flow for the year. The Group’s financial statements are prepared in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and applicable accounting standards. The Directors are responsible for ensuring that appropriate accounting policies are selected and applied consistently; and that judgment and estimates made are fair and reasonable; and that the accounts are prepared on a going concern basis. A statement by the auditors about their reporting responsibilities is included in the Independent Auditor’s Report on pages 102 to 106 of this Annual Report.
