20 Sunny Optical Technology (Group) Company Limited • INTERIM REPORT 2020 Management Discussion and Analysis 管理層討論與分析 Profit for the Period and Net Profit Margin The Group’s profit for the six months ended 30 June 2020 was approximately RMB1,776.1 million, representing an increase of approximately 24.0% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The increase in profit for the period was mainly attributable to the increase in gross profit. The net profit margin was approximately 9.4% for the six months ended 30 June 2020 and it was approximately 9.2% for the corresponding period of last year. Profit for the Period Attributable to Owners of the Company The profit for the period attributable to owners of the Company for the six months ended 30 June 2020 was approximately RMB1,749.0 million, representing an increase of approximately 22.2% compared to the corresponding period of last year. Interim Dividend For the year ended 31 December 2019, the dividend proposed by the board (the “ Board ”) of the directors (the “ Directors ”, each a “ Director ”) of the Company was approximately RMB0.728 (equivalent to HK$0.810) per share with a payout ratio of approximately 20.0% of the profit for the year attributable to owners of the Company and was paid in June 2020.
