As has been announced previously, for family
reasons Rod Eddington will be leaving the Swire Group shortly
and returning to Australia. He has tendered his resignation from
the Board of Swire Pacific Limited with effect from 31st
December 1996.
David Turnbull will join the Swire Pacific
Board on 1st November 1996 and will assume executive
responsibility for the Aviation division with effect from 1st
December 1996. He is Chairman of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering
Company Limited and his appointment as Managing Director of Cathay
Pacific Airways Limited was also announced recently.
