Mr Peter Sutch, Chairman of the Swire Group
in Hong Kong, today announced the following senior appointments.
Mr Peter Johansen, currently Finance Director
of Swire Pacific Ltd., is appointed Group Finance Director of
the Swire Group in Hong Kong. Taking over from Mr Johansen is
Mr Simon Heale who is at present Deputy Managing Director of Cathay
Pacific Airways.
Mr Johansen, aged 54, has been Finance Director
of Swire Pacific since 1983. He joined the Swire Group in 1973
and has worked with the Group in Hong Kong and Japan.
Mr Heale, aged 43, was appointed to his present
position in 1994. He joined the Swire Group in 1979 and, like
Mr Johansen, has held various positions within the Group in Hong
Kong and Japan.
Both Mr Johansen and Mr Heale graduated from
Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics
and both are Chartered Accountants.
The appointments will be effective 1st April
1997.
